The short version
We do not ask you to register. We do not ask for your name, your child’s name, or an email address. You can use the whole site without giving us anything about yourself.
We do not store quiz scores. The score appears on the screen and is gone the moment you close the page.
Who is responsible
SchoolTests.co.za is a free project that helps parents and children practise for tests and exams. There is nothing to buy and nothing to sign up for.
The site is run and maintained by Nick Botha, who is also the information officer. Any question about privacy, or a request to see or delete information, can go to info@meerkatskool.co.za.
What we do collect
We use Google Analytics to see how many people use the site and which topics are practised. Google Analytics automatically collects:
- a shortened version of your IP address, showing which country or region the visit came from
- what kind of device and browser is being used
- which pages are visited and for how long
- which grade and topic were practised, and what percentage was scored
None of this is linked to a name. We cannot see who you are, and we cannot link a score to a particular child.
Why we collect it
To understand which work children practise most and where they struggle, so that we know what content to write next. This is our legitimate interest as a publisher of educational material.
Cookies
Google Analytics places cookies on your device to count repeat visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — the quizzes work perfectly well without them.
We place no advertising cookies of our own, and we sell no data.
Who we share it with
Nobody, except Google as the provider of Analytics. We do not sell, rent or trade any information.
Google processes this data outside South Africa. Google’s own terms and security measures apply to it.
Children
This site is written for primary school children, and that is exactly why we ask for no personal information. There is no registration, no login, and no way for a child to share anything about themselves.
If you share a quiz result, that happens entirely on your own device. You choose who with, and the message contains only the topic and the score — no name.
How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is deleted automatically after 14 months.
Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to it being processed.
Write to info@meerkatskool.co.za and we will reply within 30 days.
You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa: inforegulator.org.za.

If we change this statement, the new date appears at the top of the page.
